Student Awards

Bursary recipient
There are a dedicated group of Junior Volunteers at NRGH. Whilst they may not necessarily be members of the Auxiliary, senior Auxiliary volunteers act as trainers and mentors to them. Those Junior Volunteers who wish to pursue a career in health care, and want to carry on to college or university could receive a financial award from by the Auxiliary, provided they meet academic and other criteria.

Each year the Auxiliary grants six awards of $3,000 each to deserving recipients.

The recipients are to be chosen by the School District 68 Awards Committee on the basis of scholastic standing, citizenship and financial need.

Proof of registration from a post-secondary institution will be required before the funds are released. The money is to be claimed within two years of being awarded.

See the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation for other ways you can support this worthy cause.
